Speaker : Carmen Elsässer Abstract: An Introducation to Dynamics Systems with Applications to Neuron Dynamics In this talk we will first give a short survey of neuro dynamics and show which main ideas led Hodgkin and Huxley to formulate their equations. Then we will introduce common methods to investigate dynamical systems (phase-plane methods, bifurcation) and apply them to the Hodgkin-Huxley equations to get the easier FitzHugh-Nagumo Equations. In the last part of the talk the behavior of this model which will be analyzed.
